I have been taught that it is okay
To keep all my emotions locked inside
Because hiding parts of myself make me
Just like the moon and its phases.
I realized no one really cares
That we all have to just ‘grow up’
We have to try to be perfect
And if we’re not, we are useless.
It’s a sin to judge others,
Yet everyone judges you.
Nobody is perfect they say,
But that’s another lie.
They say don’t worry what people say,
Even though they are the ones saying it,
Express your emotions freely
They shout at the top of their lungs
But whisper lightly Keep it to yourself if you can.
Nobody needs another sob story
Please if you ever need help tell us,
But we won’t really listen.
Society only starts caring When you’re gone
What a beautiful person
Why did they leave?
